I've been tinkering pretty much my whole life. And for many years I've simply done so for fun. I've fixed countless laptops, iPhone, and other electronics for my friends and family. And I graduated from the Selland College of Applied Technology in 2005 with a Bachelors in Computer Repair and Networking. I always considered that degree to be my "practical" degree while I studied mathematics at Boise State University.

I didn't realize how useful these twin degrees would become. I've worked as a math teacher, but also a IT director. And now I'm a self-taught software engineer.

I have a passion to see more young women confidently step into engineers roles. When I was younger, I always thought those roles must be too difficult. Only really smart people become engineers. However, hard work and determination can take you far. Especially when you already have a passion for the work.

I'm hoping through my YouTube channel to encourage others to apply practical engineers concepts to everyday problems. And, maybe along the way we can encourage even more young folks to become engineers.

Let's nerd out together. 👏🏻
